We believe that character is foundational to us living our best life. We want all of our students, parents and team members to be establishing healthy character traits. Each month we post a new character trait on the wall.  In our sports classes our teachers talk about these with the students during their warm up time. In our educational classes our teachers have lesson plans around these character traits. We also do our very best as team members to demonstrate theses character traits to your children.

January:  Perseverance

Perseverance means trying again even when something feels hard.
This month we encourage our students to keep going, practice patience, and celebrate effort. Learning that mistakes are part of growth helps build strong, confident kids who don’t give up on themselves.

February:  Courage

Courage is being brave—even when you feel nervous or unsure.
We teach our students that courage can look like trying something new, speaking up, or believing in yourself. Courage helps kids build confidence and face challenges with a positive mindset.

March: Forgiveness

Forgiveness means letting go of hurt feelings and choosing kindness.
This month we help students learn how to apologize, accept apologies, and move forward with empathy. Forgiveness builds healthy friendships and a caring community.

April:  Joyful

Being joyful means finding happiness in the little moments.
We encourage our students to approach each day with gratitude, laughter, and positivity. Joy helps create a fun learning environment and reminds kids that learning can be exciting and uplifting.

May:  Self-Control

Self-control is learning to pause, listen, and make good choices.
This month we focus on helping students manage emotions, follow directions, and respect boundaries. Self-control builds independence and prepares kids for success in and out of the classroom.

June:  Confidence

Confidence is believing in yourself and your abilities.
We celebrate each child’s unique strengths and encourage them to try new things without fear of failure. Confidence empowers kids to take risks, grow, and feel proud of who they are.

July:  Respect

Respect means treating others, yourself, and your environment with care.
This month we practice kindness, good listening, and teamwork. Respect creates a safe, positive space where everyone feels valued and included.

August:  Compassion

Compassion is showing care and understanding for others.
We help students learn to notice how others feel and offer support when it’s needed. Compassion builds empathy, kindness, and strong connections between peers.

September:  Honesty

Honesty means telling the truth and doing the right thing—even when it’s hard.
This month we encourage students to be truthful, take responsibility, and build trust with others. Honesty strengthens character and relationships.

October:  Responsibility

Responsibility is taking ownership of your actions and choices.
We teach students how to follow through, clean up, and do their part. Learning responsibility helps kids feel capable, dependable, and proud of themselves.

November:  Thankfulness

Thankfulness means appreciating what we have and the people around us.
This month we focus on gratitude and kindness. Practicing thankfulness helps students develop positive attitudes and recognize the good in everyday moments.

December:  Giving

Giving is sharing kindness, time, and love with others.
We encourage our students to think about how they can help and care for those around them. Giving builds empathy, generosity, and a strong sense of community.
